+ ICONOGRAPHIC NOTE (01-21-2021):

In line with the Church's proclamation of the Year of St Joseph (Dec 08 2020 - Dec 08 2021), some of my friends and I have decided to make an Act of Consecration to St Joseph in the coming Solemnity of March 19, following the 33-Day preparation format outlined in Fr Donald Calloway's awesome book here. 

I made this illustration of St Joseph following our group's prior devotion to the saint to help us in our aspiration for chastity, as well as in healing our bitter and painful experiences marked by broken fatherhood. Our group's chaplain who is a great spiritual father introduced us to a form sacramental called the Cincture or Cord of St Joseph, seen in the illustration as being handed out by the Child Jesus. I'm so pumped and inspired I've also decided to sketch up next the particular saints mentioned in the book who have championed the special devotion to St Joseph.
